TOWN LAWS
Town Laws are adopted as needed by our Town Board. Most laws require Public Hearing to be held prior to adoption. When adopting a law, there are times that a waiting period is required and sometimes they even require a Town-Wide vote before we can adopt them. Click any of the buttons below to read materials relating to our Town Laws. All of our Laws are stored in at the Town Clerk's office and are available to view upon request, during normal business hours.
TOWN POLICIES
Town policies are reviewed by the Town Board annually at our Organizational Board Meeting and updated as needed. A public hearing, waiting period, or town-wide vote is not required to adopt or amend a Town policy.
TOWN PLANS
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN |
COMPREHENSIVE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLAN |
The Town of Seneca completed a re-write of its Comprehensive Plan in 2002. A strong rural agricultural community was the number one priority at that time.
In 2012, the Town created a committee to review the Comprehensive Plan as it pertained to the current environment and a new survey was sent to the residents of the Town. The results from the survey concluded that the plan adopted in 2002 was still relevant and that the strength of the rural agricultural community is most important to Town constituents. The Town amended the Comprehensive Plan in 2013 to update information and eliminate completed action items. To see the full Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Seneca. Click the button below. |
The Town of Seneca recognizes an overall plan is required to improve the Town's ability to manage emergency and disaster situations.
This plan constitutes an integral part of a statewide emergency management program aimed at reducing risk prior to an emergency, effective and timely response in an emergency, and provision of recovery assistance after an emergency. The current plan was adopted by the Town Board in 2011. To see the full plan, please click the button below. |
